Alaskan King Crab Legs in Wine Butter
3 king crab legs per person
1 tablespoon (15 mL) snipped parsley
Marinade (enough for 6 to 8 servings):
1/4 pound (114 g) butter, melted
3 tablespoons (45 mL) sherry
3/4 teaspoon (3 mL) salt
1/2 teaspoon (2 mL) fresh cracked pepper
1/4 teaspoon (1 mL) paprika
3 drops Tabasco
Good pinch thyme
Dash cayenne pepper
Prepare marinade one day in advance so that flavors have a chance to develop.
Next day, heat marinade in chafing dish or a flat pan. Carefully add crab legs and just heat through, basting several times. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve as a main course with rice, salad and other accompaniments.
Enjoy!
This recipe was reprinted from Cooking Alaskan, by Alaskans. This is one of my favorite cookbooks on my shelf. It is full of delicious recipes that are down to earth and easy to make.
